Because

Recently, I discovered the work of Amy Revier. I like the idea of inhabiting one own's art, of completely merging into it and clothes art is what she's at. A self-taught weaver with a background in sculpture, she is a woman of integrity. To become one with her art, to be wrapped in textures, shapes and shades. I never thought weaving was so demanding. It is a dance to watch; the dance of the artist at work, the dance of the artist being.

AM/CB

I discovered the work of Adrien M. and Claire B. this morning and I just had to write a post about it. Their performances are a mix between digital technologies and movement. This is a fantastic use of live technologies and dance along with jugglery and scenography. They're definitely groundbreaking and I wish I could see one of their shows. Have a look at this video they made with choreographer Mourad Merzouki; it says it all.

Stainless

Adam Magyar - Stainless, Alexanderplatz (excerpt), 2011 from Adam Magyar on Vimeo.

I recently discovered the work of photographer and video artist Adam Magyar.
I particularly like his Stainless, Alexanderplatz slowmotion video and how stillness and movement, space and sound intermingle. It sort of reminds me of the film Gerry, which I wrote my research thesis about.
