Necklace

Just like Amy Revier, I somehow wear my art own too. I realized this necklace I made totally matches my paintings; shape, colours, textures, the translucent pendant... It might as well be part of the canvas - and I like it best when the canvas no longer is the limit to my painting.

Textured Walls

Photography is an important part of my work. Most of the time, I am seeking the unseen; decaying walls, burnt down materials, rotten details in your every day surroundings are textures that appeal to me. While they wouldn't even catch the usual passerby's attention, they completely hold my attention and I sometime even go back to those places with my DSLR to take proper pictures purposefully.

Now that is probably what I should do since these ones have be taken with my phone, hence the poor quality of the photographs. However, I sometimes feel awkward as when standing at the front door of a recently burnt down flat and the tenant suddenly pops out. How inappropriate is that?

Wet Walls

This is exactly the type of picture I long for when taking long walks and getting lost in the cities. Texture is what I seek. And though I appreciate it very much, I'd have enjoyed it even more if it hadn't been part of the interior of my home...

Ere glacière

It's been ages since I last came here, but I'd like to show you more detail of that 'old new painting' and how photography can interact with my paintings...

Once

Where I Once Worked

What I Once Painted

Sometimes you just have to walk past the same place a 100 times before something catches your eye; a crack in the wall, paint peeling off facades...

Sometimes you just have to let time do the work to come up with what looks like an old brand new painting...

Birds

I draw some of my inspiration from the internet and I spend quite a lot of time browsing blogs and pinterest.
The picture of the birds I found on a blog (sorry, I can't remember which) and filed it until I knew what to make of it.
When I finally found out, I was so excited with my idea that I could hardly resist drawing it right away on my painting.
The bird is only one part of the painting, and though you already saw bits of it here and there, I shall soon show you the whole painting.

Abstract

Details from the painting shown in The Urge post.
It isn't far from being finished. But I'm stuck with excitment and don't know how to handle it now that I feel I'm almost done with it.
